Minister Encourages Entrepreneurs to Prioritize Electric Vehicles

Kathmandu: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Prakash Jwala, is encouraging entrepreneurs to prioritize electric vehicles (EVs). In a meeting with taxi entrepreneurs on Thursday, the Minister emphasized the need to shift from fossil fuel-driven vehicles to EVs, considering the current scenario.

Minister Jwala highlighted that the government is actively working on drafting new laws to promote the adoption of EVs. He urged entrepreneurs to prepare for this transition and embrace EVs as the future of transportation.

Furthermore, Minister Jwala stressed the importance of embossed number plates being in Nepali Devanagiri script. He urged taxi entrepreneurs to adhere to this requirement, signaling a step towards promoting national identity and uniformity in vehicle identification.

As part of enhancing their services, the Minister suggested that taxi entrepreneurs go online, making it more convenient for passengers to access their services. He also encouraged them to consider using a uniform for clear and easy identification by customers.

The Minister's proactive stance on EVs and modernizing taxi services aims to promote sustainable transportation options and ensure a more organized and efficient transportation system in the country.
